Huh, they must either be living in a small town or it musn’t be a very modern library. 😛 Many libraries have switched their focus to more culture institutes focused on providing experiences with literature, so when there are people, it is not really any more quiet than other places unless you are in a designated study area/quiet zone.
(I realize there’s still stereotypes of libraries as quiet places.)
